Lake Harding

Beautiful Views, Community, and a Lake Full of Fun

Nestled on a 5,850-acre reservoir on the Chattahoochee River, beautiful Lake Harding, also known as Bartlett’s Ferry Lake, sprawls out over Harris County, Georgia and Lee County, Alabama.

Formed by Barlett’s Ferry Dam, the Lake was originally built by the Columbus Power Company in 1926 to generate hydroelectric power. Georgia Power purchased the dam and lake in 1930, and it has since been a popular recreational area for local residents, as well as a vacation destination for those who have built lake homes along the well-developed shoreline.
